I have been intrigued by old book pages lately ever since my Christmas Cards and trees that I made last month. I have a whole slew of ideas that I am working on but this one was the first and it is really simple and easy. First you need a old book page and a template for a letter. I started with an "M" since I had previously cut this out for another project and it has nice straight lines.
Then I chose a fabric that I thought would work well with the print. I figured something small and geometric would be the best as not to be to busy.
Then I cut a piece about 1/2" wider on all sides of the M and then adhered the M with double sided tape to it. Next I ran it thru my sewing machine and stitched in light pink to the fabric.
I trimmed the fabric about 1/4" from the paper and I had my Initial. I placed in a frame with a book page underneath and it is ready to hang or give as a gift.
Perfect for a Child's room or as a Wedding present. They could be cute as an entire name as well or just three Initials. They are so easy and inexpensive to make,
That I made several more just to have them on hand for a gifts! So go and cut up a book and Enjoy!
This is such a cute project!
