In my effort to keep my blog organized, I downloaded a calendar to jot down possible topics for each day. Now I like to carry it around with me and especially to work. So I had to come up with an idea so that it did not get lost and tattered. I decided to make a Calendar keeper. I started with a calendar..
and some fabric.
I used this bright fabric so I could spot it easily in my craft room or it was anywhere around my house. Next I took a piece of cardboard 8 1/2" x 11" which is the back of a pad of paper and a piece of fabric 12 1/2" x 16". Next I folded two edge twice with a 1" fold and ironed.
Then stitched it twice on the top and twice on the bottom.
Then I folded over the side edge by about 1" and stitched down both sides.
It looks like a placemat at this point but wait it will look like something soon. Next I folded over the edge again and inserted the cardboard for fit and then stitched just the bottom on the fold to the back.
The last step was to insert the calendar and it is done.
Now all I have to do is start filling in the projects! Super easy and a great scrap fabric project! Enjoy!
