I seem to be growing a garden of tops hats this winter. My Echinacea plants seem to be growing them after every snow storm.
I let the plants go to seed in the fall so that the birds have a little treat before heading into the winter. They usually pick the plants clean and they look like this until the spring thaw.
All dressed up for the winter in their cute little top hats. They almost make me feel warm looking at them, until I realize that those are snow hat.
The hats come and go with the snow and the wind and I have to be quick to get a photo. These were particularly tall and did not stay for more than a day. Hopefully their heads don't get too cold before the next snow storm or maybe we are done with those for the Winter. Let's Hope! Enjoy!
