Janet of All Trades

We are in the midst of our front garden remodel project and we are getting one step closer to planting. Over the weekend my Husband and I wandered thru a local nursery to start selecting some shrubs. We found numerous plants that we liked but here are a few of our favorites. Now we just have to make a decision on the plants we like the best and how many. Who knew designing this garden would be so difficult,but we want to have superb curb appeal. Can't wait to see the results although and I will be sure to share in the coming weeks! Enjoy!

I have been a but lazy with my camera this week since I have preoccupied by some projects I have been working on. So my camera has only been used to document the process of those projects and nothing else. So this weeks What I Saw Wednesday are some manipulated photos from the past. The weekend is quickly approaching and I have so much garden work do to since it has been raining for 3 weeks. It is a jungle out in my yard so I have a few outdoor and indoor (well maybe completed on the patio) projects on my list. Here are a few to get me started. (1) I won this bracelet and I love the bead but don't like how it looks on my wrist,So I am thinking about transforming it into another piece of jewelry.  (2) I will be visiting the Nursery later today to fill my planters with all sorts of lovely flowers. I thinking about doing something a little different this year and maybe incorporating some decorative grasses with my flowers. (3) Pipe cleaners. I have this idea that might work and might not. It happens to use scrap fabric,flip flops and a little imagination. (4) Designing a plan for this now empty front yard. All our shrubs have now been pulled out (except for the stumps) and now we are left with an empty slate. A little sculpting of the gardens needs to be done and...

Yes It really is Thursday, but I had to postpone my What I Saw Wednesday post due to my Giveaway. Spring is finally here and my favorite flower is starting to bloom. They are lovely Irises. The colors just amaze me and every year more flowers grow. It is so wonderful to finally see flowers and color after the long cold winter and spring! Enjoy!

Every spring my Husband and I becoming step parents to baby bunnies. In the numerous years that we have lived in our home, we have seen and cared for many bunny families. The tend to like our yard and our garden particularly since it is safe from dogs and cats. They only stay long enough to be able to hop out of the nest and out of our yard, but they are oh so cute while they are there. Just a tiny bunny out of the nest for a peek at the world. Mother Bunny taking a rest for the nest. Baby on the move (reason for the blur) and to get away from the photographer. So just a little glimpse of the Easter Bunny and babies that arrive each spring in my yard!
