Janet of All Trades

I have been so busy this Spring getting ready for some upcoming show over the summer that I have had little time to create anything but jewelry..  I call this one Central Park.. It's a map of Central Park,a Domino and a lucite flower. Orange You Glad it's Spring Pedant. Felt circle,Button and rhinestone Star on a Key Oh and these Lovely Flower pots that are not really jewelry but make the outside of my house look pretty too! I  made a huge decision to try and sell my pendants at a craft show and have been busy working on pendants and displays. I found these Artist figures at Ikea this past weekend and they are perfect for displaying my pendants.  I have been working on some lovely new key designs and I hope I sell just a few. If not I have some great ways to display my own jewelry I will sure to update on the out come of the show as well as my full table display! Enjoy!

This summer bright colors and color blocking are in and luckily I have access to some bright felt scraps. They are the perfect colors and I just needed the perfect idea to create something with them that I could wear.  I had recently picked up a box of dominoes at an Estate Sale and then the lightbulb went on! I could combine the two to make color block pendants. Purple,Green and yellow with just a little of the black dominoe showing thru. The perfect accent of color and so simples Orange and Pink..   think this is my favorite! Reminds me of Rainbow sherbet! An inexpensive way to update your wardrobe. Now I just need to pick which one to wear first! Enjoy!

Awhile back I bought a lot of jewelry parts and pieces on Etsy hoping to use some or all its contents for jewelry design. Within the lovely assortment of items was this Butterfly pin. I removed the faux jewels that adorned its wings as well as it's strange eyes and then didn't know what to do with it until I saw this weeks Sunday Paper. See at the bottom the Butterfly Necklace! I think I found my inspiration, although I made my necklace the day before this was in the paper. I used a little bit of Lapis and some glass beads recycle from a vintage necklace. Added a Gun Metal colored chain since I thought it added interest and gave it a vintage feel. Then I experimented with moving the chain and placing the pendant off center.  I think I like the way it looks non-sysmetrical the best. I wasn't much of a Butterfly Jewelry fan before I made this.. But I love this Butterfly Revamp Necklace Enjoy!
