I  made a huge decision to try and sell my pendants at a craft show and have been busy working on pendants and displays. I found these Artist figures at Ikea this past weekend and they are perfect for displaying my pendants.  I have been working on some lovely new key designs and I hope I sell just a few. If not I have some great ways to display my own jewelry I will sure to update on the out come of the show as well as my full table display! Enjoy!

I search my house for a clipboard this weekend. I know I have one somewhere or I might have given in away, so I made a trip to the Dollar Store since I had a makeover idea. I pulled together some of supplies from my craft stash, including an old Road Atlas, Mod Podge and adhesive backed felt. My Clipboard looked awfully sad and cheap and need of a makeover. I started by finding a map page that was large enough to cover my clipboard and it just happened to be Minnesota. Next I laid it out over my board and folded where the clip started. Next I marked it with a pencil on both sides so I knew where to cut. Drawing a line right to the edge. Next I cut on the line to the fold and made sure it fit sung. Then I cut along the fold and cut the top piece so it fit and lined up behind the clip. Next I covered the entire board with Mod Podge. And applied the paper,making sure to get out all the wrinkles. I have searching for an antique mannequin for a couple of years. They are hard to find and very expensive when they are found. I also have read many tutorials on how to make your own but never thought that I could pull it off until this past weekend. I started with a great pattern that I found on Etsy from Tracy Bell and you can buy it here .  The instructions are easy to follow and the results are amazing. I started with a nice linen in a medium taupe color since I thought it would look vintage and classic. Pattern was easy to read and after very few steps of a little sewing and a little stuffing, I was left with this.. I used a candle stick that I had and no longer used for the base and added a few of my recycled jewelry items. It was so easy, I made a second one and intend to use both of them to display my jewelry as well be able to take better photos. I am so pleased with the results.
